New DJ Jeremy March 2014 Rock Anthems Mix
Here’s a new mix made up of popular rock anthems from 1978-1990. Since we’ve drifted slightly out of the decade in this mix, its certainly not a pure 80s rock mix, but all things being the same, its an 80s rock mix. 🙂
There are some remixes in here, but I tried to stay away from the hype or anything with hip hop samples on this one to keep it as “rock” as possible. Enjoy!

New DJ Jeremy Winter 2014 EDM Promo Mix
Here’s the latest edition in my promo mix series – apologies for my lack of promo mix output lately. To be quite frank, there hasn’t been a lot to work with in terms of new pop material, and I don’t like covering tunes I’ve included in previous mixes if at all possible, so I’ve been waiting (somewhat in vain) for new danceable pop to be released.
In order to get out a new mix with somewhat fresh material, I decided to make this one EDM (electronic dance music) based as recent “pop” type Top 40 pickings have been really slim over the last 6 months. I tried to stay mainstream here, and included as many radio-play EDM tunes and recognizable pop / indie remixes as I could manage.
Outside of the radioplay EDM bangers like Clarity, Animals, Stay the Night etc, 2013 was a really slow year as far as danceable “traditional” Top 40 tunes – the Billboard Top 100 has been clogged up with ballads and other such non-dance music. For those of you who aren’t EDM fans, let’s hope 2014 turns out a better crop of danceable pop music!

DJ Jeremy Live Set 3-31-12 USS Hornet
I’ve been posting a lot of live wedding mixes lately, so here is something a bit different. This mix (which was recorded live at the event) is a portion of the set I played on the USS Hornet (a retired aircraft carrier in Alameda, CA) for a college event on 3-31-12. This is more of a club-style set aimed at the demographic I was dealing with, and it bounces around between hip hop, electro, and Top 40 tracks. Enjoy!

Live DJ Jeremy set from 2-4-12 wedding…
In recent months, I’ve been posting my live wedding sets that have trended towards the mainstream side of things, so here’s something a bit different – this is an electronica-heavy late-night portion of my mixset from last Saturday.
This mix is definitely NOT one that would work at many weddings I handle, but this was a pretty unique wedding crowd, and they were fully up for a set of this nature. In any case, the portion from 13 minutes in through the end of the mix (its pretty much all “Dirty Dutch House” and electro house type tracks / remixes from that point in) is not something that would work at most weddings, but if the occasion calls for it, I can certainly play a set like this.
PS – If you enjoy this kind of music (or any similar “slightly outside of the box” music for that matter), and are interested in having it played at your event, do give some thought to how your guests would feel about it. Many of my clients dig electronica or indie, but their guests are NOT fans – this being said, even the best DJ in the world isn’t going to walk in and have success playing these genres for a crowd who isn’t feeling it. So, at the end of the day, its a great practice to do a pre-wedding “reality check” regarding genres might be successful given the musical tastes of the folks on your invite list. Its kind of ironic, but as a DJ who really enjoys playing electronica-style sets (like the one featured in this post), I am usually the one trying to convince clients that they may need to tone their musical tastes down a bit in order to allow me to be successful in keeping their guests out on the dance-floor! 😉

DJ Jeremy Indian (Bollywood) – American hybrid live wedding mix…
Here’s a live recording from the wedding I handled on 11-12-11. This mix is representative of a mix I would put together for either an Americanized Indian wedding, or like this particular wedding, one where only one side of the wedding is Indian. Basically, I flip back and forth between Bollywood tunes and American ones in order to keep everyone happy. If you are planning a similar wedding, this mix will give you a snapshot of how I handle such events. 🙂
